Alberta’s government is committed to ensuring seniors have access to safe, secure and affordable homes. As part of this commitment, government has invested $680,000 through Alberta's Affordable Housing Partnership Program into a project with Silvera for Seniors that will provide 47 new homes for seniors in the Livingston area.
Supporting seniors across the province is a priority for Alberta’s government. Alberta will continue to work closely with housing partners like Silvera for Seniors to ensure seniors have the supports they need.

The Affordable Housing Partnership Program aims to bring together partners in the public, non-profit and private sectors to deliver affordable housing solutions that are customized for communities to meet local needs and ensure Albertans have a place to call home. Housing that meets the needs of seniors is essential to their quality of life and is a key part of the province’s Stronger Foundations strategy.

Funding for the Affordable Housing Partnership Program is eligible for cost-matching through the Canada – Alberta Bilateral Agreement under the National Housing Strategy. Alberta’s government continues to implement the Stronger Foundations affordable housing strategy, which will support a total of 82,000 low-income households by 2031 – an increase of more than 40 per cent from the strategy's launch in 2021.

- Since March 2023, Alberta’s government has approved $189 million to support construction of more than 1,500 affordable housing units through the Affordable Housing Partnership Program.
- Since 2019, Alberta’s government has invested nearly $850 million to build more than 5,100 units and close to 900 shelter spaces. This includes projects that are committed to, in progress and complete.
