I refer to you letter of 17 September 2024, ref A1346114.

Having reference to the Statement of Reservation signed by me in the committee’s report relating to Budget Estimates this year (Report #16 of this committee), I wish to correct the record in relation to a statement made by me about the number of SES volunteers who have undergone training. This matter (and a complaint about my statement about this matter) was the subject of item 5 in Minister Ryan’s letter addressed to Mr Speaker dated 21 August 2024.

I wish to correct the record by stating that this statement regarding SES volunteers (referred to above) was incorrect.

I apologise for making an incorrect statement. I did not intend to deliberately mislead in doing so.
