There not yet being a Chair elected to serve the Committee, the meeting was called to order at 12:36 p.m. by the Clerk of Committees.

Resolved, that Garry Begg, MLA, be elected Chair of the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner. (Mike Starchuk, MLA)

Resolved, that Renee Merrrifield, MLA, be elected Deputy Chair of the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner. (Dan Davies, MLA)

Resolved, that pursuant to the usual confidentiality requirements for statutory officer appointment committees, all deliberations of the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner be held in camera. (Renee Merrifield, MLA)
