There not yet being a Chair elected to serve the Committee, the meeting was called to order at 11:00 a.m. by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.

Resolved, that Joan Phillip, MLA, be elected Chair of the Special Committee to Appoint a Human Rights Commissioner. (Ravi Parmar, MLA)

Resolved, that Norm Letnick, MLA, be elected Deputy Chair of the Special Committee to Appoint a Human Rights Commissioner. (Teresa Wat, MLA)

Resolved, that pursuant to the usual confidentiality requirements for statutory officer appointment committees, all deliberations of the Special Committee to Appoint a Human Rights Commissioner be held in camera. (Ravi Parmar, MLA)
