2024-08-30

The meeting will take place on Sept. 2 in Austin, Texas, while Premier Smith is on a personal holiday. Premier Smith will be supported by Alberta’s senior representative to the United States James Rajotte and a staff member from the Alberta-Dallas office. The meeting will be a key opportunity to discuss North American energy security with Governor Abbott and enhance Alberta’s ties with the largest energy-producing state in the U.S.

As the Premier will be on personal time, there are no government costs associated with her time in Texas. The Premier will be available to answer questions about the trip when she returns to Alberta.
